ABOUT AIJA

Born and raised in Michigan, Aija was drawn to the arts from early childhood, but it took her several years to hone the skills that would allow her to make the most honest and direct link to those who encountered her performances. Moving through drama and dance, she eventually discovered her passion for words. Soon, her artistic spirit had shifted from gracefully creating shapes and lines with her body on the dance floor, to bringing to life the words and phrases that flowed from her tongue and through her pen. The strength of Aija's words is such that even when heard outside of their musical context, they still resonate with the same power Her conitnuous collaboration with a wide range of musicians and producers, and an instinctive sense of human emotion broadens her musical experiences and creates a palette unlike many artists today. Aija has charted out a bright future for herself as a performer, a poet, and an artist. Not only that, but she has created a world for herself where she can act as a conduit through which her listeners can come to a better understanding of their own souls as they navigate their lives, in what can often be a complex world.
